The New wave Door system is 70% more popular than the next door system

Twitter Poll Photo

The new wave door system recently won a poll on Twitter. A window company asked Twitter the question on what door system was best suited for a 4 metre opening with a nice view over a garden. He gave four option, Triple Track Ali Patio, Warmcore Bifold, Ultimate Evo Bifold and the New Wave Door system.

The New Wave door system not only won the poll but was 70% more popular than the next leading door system, with 45% of the votes going to New Wave. This proves that the New Wave door system is the best Bifold and Sliding door alternative. With our door system you will have a door that you can use 52 weeks a year not just 2 weeks a year.

New Wave Doors – Commitment to Recycling

Low Impact | High Performance | Sustainability

Our aluminium New Wave slide & stack doors are manufactured using thermally broken aluminium profiles. Aluminium is a highly sustainable product, which can be melted down and recycled. This process uses approximately 5% of the energy required to form virgin aluminium from aluminium ores of bauxite. This is why we are committed to recycling

uPVC profiles are not widely recycled, the process is much more complicated and expensive, also with the recycled plastics not being of the same quality as virgin profiles. However, many systems companies have made a huge commitment to improving this process. Our uPVC slide & swing doors are manufacture from VEKA profiles, who are one such company. Their recycling plant located in Kent was established in 2007 and ensures that the maximum amount of VEKA profiles get re-used rather than going to landfill.

VEKA is an industry leader in recycling old uPVC profiles. While some companies recycle to produce lower grade products, like sewer or drainage pipes, they use processed material from end-of-life uPVC profiles and turn them back into superior virgin quality uPVC windows, doors and conservatories.

When you consider that the average lifespan of a uPVC window is some 30 or 40 years, and can be recycled up to ten times, we’re helping to create windows and doors with a lifespan of 350 years- now that’s what you call a sustainable product!

New Wave Doors have made a partnership commitment with VEKA recycling. From November 2017 all unused factory profile offcuts and all old frames brought back by our customers and installers, are all sent to recycling rather than being sent to landfill.

Why are New Wave Doors superior to other multi-panel door systems:

New Wave Doors, Heralded as the “Next Generation” of patio and folding sliding door systems. With all the benefits of traditional patio doors, bi folding doors, and French doors, with none of the disadvantages or limitations.

Improved Aesthetics:

Conventional bifolding doors have external and internal hardware; hinges and bogey wheels, which come in a range of colours. The door however detracts from the aesthetic sightlines of the doors, being very unsightly. New Wave Doors have no external hinges or bogeys, giving slim, seamless sightlines. Our patented Magnaline ™ hardware is predominantly concealed within the rebates of the sash profiles.

Easier Operation:

With standard uPVC and aluminium bifold doors, the individual folding panels are connected by complex hardware mechanisms. During operation, all of the doors have to be opened at once making the general use heavy and cumbersome. With our range of New Wave doors, each of the panels slide and swing independently of one another, ensuring a light and easy operation. In addition to this, there are no intermediate locking points along the door, reducing the operation time.

Flexibility and Versatility:

As above, with the panels not being interconnected, it gives the end user the freedom to open and stack individual panels at their discretion. This is perfect for the UK climate where for most of the year you may not want the entire door system to be fully opened, as with an alternative sliding-folding door system. Instead only stack the doors in an intermediate open position giving the perfect amount of background ventilation.

Space Saving:

With orthodox bi-folding door systems, the doors fold along the track systems, meaning that a certain amount of either your house or garden room space must be kept clear during operation. Even if the doors were to open out into the garden area, the inside must be kept clear to access the intermediate shoot bolt locking handles which are present on all bifolding doors. With slide and stack door systems, a much smaller percentage of the opening area must be kept clear for use centring around the master traffic doorway, where each of the panels eventually swings open.

Are your bifold suppliers up to date with all Data Protection Legislation?

Are your bifold suppliers up to date with all Data Protection Legislation? New Wave Doors Complies with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

In the UK the main legislation covering consumer data protection is the Data Protection Act 1998. However, with inconsistencies on data protection across member states of the EU, leaders from the European Parliament, Council and Union have come together and developed a new European standard for the collection, storage and processing of personal and business information & data.

The new General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR, (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a comprehensive new EU data protection law that comes into play on 25th May 2018 and will effectively replace the Data Protection Act of 1998.

The Regulation has many implications for all UK businesses, not just window and door manufacturers – from SOHO (small office, home office) to SME (small to medium enterprise) or SMB (small to medium business) – outlined to standardise data protection rules across all EU countries.

The GDPR specifically relates to the processing of personal data with greater emphasis on the ‘fundamental rights and freedoms’ of individuals and companies (known as ‘data subjects’). This covers how companies collect, store, transfer or use personal data and includes, for example, employee records, customer & supplier information, or prospects/sales leads.

Although the GDPR relates to personal data and not companies, any data that can identify an ‘individual natural person’ will fall under the new regulations. This includes an individual’s name or email address even if they work for a limited company.

To comply with the new regulations, New Wave Doors have:

· Demonstrated the lawful basis for processing personal data

· Clearly documented the personal data we hold, how and when it was sourced, how it will be used, how it is updated and who will have access to it

· Created a standard company data privacy policy

· Overviewed our internal uses of individuals data, how and why it is held, and looked to control its movement

· Removed all unnecessarily kept data sets

· Set up new procedures to detect and report data breaches
